Is There a Necessity of the Past?
i have thought that there's something funny about the necessity of the past. The argument for fatalism uses the transfer of necessity principle to argue that the future has the same necessity the past, everything isnt it? You know, every event, past present, future, has the same nece city that spilled milk has. But that makes it look like there's something odd about temporal necessity, like doesn't even exist. And what i think now is that we often, i think, we confuse the so callednecessity of the past with something that's a different, a metaphysical principle and causes must precede their effects. There's no backward causation.
