i saw bill campbell post on instagram about a muscle protein synthesis following b c aa intake. The strongest association was for maximum essential ameno acid concentration in the blood that you hit after a protein feeding. This finding was basically independent of total protein and take. It really seems like branch chain amino acids by themselves don't really do that much for you, whereas essential amino acids seem to come in pretty clutch.
