CNN's John Defterios spoke with a man who moved from Cuba to New Zealand for his PhD in microbiology genetics. He went on to get the job he has now, but says it was an "absolute nightmare" after moving out there at 10etal time during the pandemic. The man is currently living and working in Auckland where he works as a sales consultant.
