The patient undergoes biopsy of the lesion and is consistent with pyrocytic astrocytoma. Most times in these cases, it's a gross total resection. They might even be able to do what's called a sub-told resection where there is some residual. BRAF mutations can be targeted using MEK inhibitors such as Cellumetinib or Binimetinib.
