It involves a lot more than just painting and making art. You've got to make your own opportunities, or at least milk any opportunity you get for all it's worth. There are lots of council kind of projects that always commission local artist doing an artwork. And then there's social media as well, like which I hate, but you've got to be thinking about that a lot. But otherwise the algorithm will just kick you out, won't it? Right.
In conversation with Mysterious Al, a contemporary artist / street artist from London now living in Melbourne, Australia. The conversation covers Al's background, how he makes his art, the difference between street art & graffiti, attitudes towards graffiti, how Al needs to use social media (but doesn't like it!) his recent ghost train exhibition, and more.
