80's of Gypsy and 80''s Albopictus - What's the Geographic Distribution?
The mosquitoes that transmit yellow fever exist in a lot of places, even where this virus doesn't exist currently. So there is a fear that this virus could then spread to places that it isn't currently. 80's of gypsy and 80's albopictus are both found in the southern U.S. And they actually have been expanding. One of our lab mates has been doing research on the expanding distribution of these guys, even into Illinois.
