Scale Scores - What Are They?
There's a lot of recent emphasis in the literature and some really interesting stuff about, well, if you're in a position where you use scale scores, can we do better than a mean? A parcel is an unweighted mean of a set of items. So if you're out there and you're quanct curious, why wouldn't you use a factor score as your parcel? There's a dissertation in that topic.
