The Importance of Culture Economy

Kyla, you've written that culture is branded by brands and that our world is dictated by what we consume. I want to hear from you about whether or not we've gone too far with monetization of culture. Kyla: Everything does end up essentially becoming monetized because everything has to become an ad like every single data point that you are is essentially monetized as they're selling it so they can sell you ads. So I feel like people lose connection to themselves within that and it creates a whole host of issues. It's always a cycle that's moving back and forth every generation wants their own cool thing.
