Women Spies - Why Women Aren't Recruited Into MI6

After the war, there were not women regularly being recruited into MI5 or MI6 as intelligence officers. Helen isn't exactly sure when women started getting hired again as spies versus secretaries and clerks. But from interviewing older women spies, she thinks it was in the 1970s. Alongside Britain's other intelligence agencies, which are MI5 and GCHQ, Helen says that MI6 has been struggling to recruit quality women candidates. And I imagine that part of the problem is this James Bond energy.
