Is Your Tooling Making You Slower Than You Have to Be?
I think it's very tempting to think of developer product vity as mostly a function of the quality of the developer themselves. But there is such a large unscratched surface area in making developer productivity better through batset tooling. For example, i've ben using gethub co pilot a lot recently, and my observation is that in a language like ruby or python, it's kind of ok. And then it in rust, where you have all of this additional type information, and it's just like, right almost every time. Not only can we do this, but we should also develop a productivity organization which would put them into pole position for shipping more quickly after three weeks
