The Story of Jarvis and John Peel
Jarvis came up with the idea for Pulp when he was still reading comics. The band recorded a demo in a local Sheffield studio and gave it to John Peel, who often broke bands on his show. Jarvis: "I'd been listening to the John Peel show because that was the only show on national radio"
