The Promised Land

Abram, who becomes Abraham, gets a lot of stuff right, get a ton of stuff wrong. Sometimes he goes to places that are dominated by warlords or kings he's afraid of. He holds out his wife as being his sister in the hope that these authority figures will welcome her into their harem and do whatever they do. And he comes off looking like an idiot at the same time. Bottom line, he's a mixed bag and so are his descendants.
