The Platform Music Industry Is Not Making Any Profits
I think the incentives are broken. You can't sell a J-back because like you can't sell an Apple, a market price can't form. And so we see two models emerging. One is just plastering advertisements all over the place and kind of see what that's worth like. The second one is what I call subscription hell, which we see now with streaming video. It worked for Spotify magically with music because they just managed to build a monopoly. They're also not making any profit whatsoever.
