How to Make Semi Conductors More Cost Effectively?

The motivation isn't so much looking at it just in terms of ideal efficiency. It's how can we circumvent the real world constraints of costs and so forth, to be able to come up with materials that can actually deliver things more cheaply. In any solar cell, you need some asymmetry to drive photo current, otherwise you won't have a solar cell. You can have photo generation, but you must have direction. And then i started to work on organic semi-conductors where your electrodes would be slightly tounder adbecause there's a lot going on here.
