Heracles - The Most Important Hero in the Myths
The ancient greeks didn't think of heroes in the way we do now. The word was used to describe these lymithic men, truly heroic or otherwise. He's just so unique and interesting and also super doltish in a great way. Next week we continue on with his trials, his tribulations, typically brought on by himself. We will meet his next and final wife, dionera, and begin the lead up to one of the most famous plays dedicated to heracles. Hero bulshet is in coming.
