How to Edify and Encourage Others
Think of the Proverbs 26, 20: For lack of wood, the fire goes out. So when those conversations come to your doorstep, don't feed them redirect and try to edify and build up other people. Like you said, share something positive about that person. If you're prone to gossip, put off and then you repent and then you obey. You're putting off gossip, but you're putting on speech that builds up.
