Thousands of people around the world believe we have been visited in the past by extraterrestrial beings. If you want to believe in aliens, then absolutely go for it. But there's a bit of a difference between questioning their existence and assuming they're responsible for human occurrences. The History Channel does seem to take itself seriously when these shows say that a gifted child who can read books at only the age of ten months may be connected to extraterrestrials.
