How Do You Evaluate People's Motivations?
I ignore stated motivations. They're often sincere, but still a kind of b s. I do look at which audiences they're trying to impress. It's not exactly the same as motivation. Motivations, to me, are always opaque, even in the evaluators. But just a again this question, can they pick out the right hierarchy? Some peope people all sorts of motivations oukno dating, et cetera. If you were considering investing in someone in modern day russia, and you were quite impressed with their abilities, how would you feel about that? You'd be torn.
