The Relationship Between Magic and Attention
I think a lot of people today are searching for attention and energy that they want to hold hostage from other people and external sources. And I view attention like likes and instant gratification as like a form of external light. When I think of magic, I think of it as being a kind of a combination of the two. If you believe in the rituals and you go through the things, you make the decidules, you burn them, you focus your energy, all it ultimately does is what you want to happen,. It puts it in your subconscious so that you end subconsciously acting towards goals you want anyways.
