Robert Ilg's Tower of Pisa

Inventor Robert ilg built the tower of pisa to encourage students in minds to think scientifically. The tower became a local landmark and a symbol of the town, although not everybody quite got it. In the early 19 sixties, shortly before ilg died, he donated the tower to the y m c a,. But the gift came with an unusual and specific stipulation, that the ym c a spent 500 dollars a year to maintain the tower until 20 59. As you can imagine, 500 dollars to day doesn't cover as much as it used to.
