In 19 14, henry ord stunned the world when he revealed that the ford motor company was going to pay five dollars a day to the people who worked there. That began the process of going to a work place away from home where you would do what the importer asked you to do, get a pay check and go home at the end of the day. This idea of going to some place, putting your name on a clock, being guaranteed a 40-hour week is destroyed as we speak. It doesn't make sense for anybody. But my goodness, there are people who were born who are still around.
