Think of it as both t c p ip and its lennox at the same time. The world, when we first started networking, was just totally divided between different protocols and major players. But overtime, as the internet became a thing, they all had to switch to tisipipe. They all had to participate in an open network. And you're starting to see this to day already with things like the strike ap and the cash ap - which are theoretically competitors but can send money because they're on the bit coin lightning network.
