InPart 1 of this fascinating interview, Grant Cameron is joined byLarry Warren, one of the most controversial witnesses associated withthe famous 1980 Rendlesham Forest UFO incident, and former Britishpolice investigator Gary Heseltine.
TheRendlesham Forest incident, often called Britain's Roswell, remainsone of the most extensively discussed UFO cases in history. Butbehind the familiar accounts lies a complicated story involvingmilitary witnesses, conflicting testimonies, allegations ofsuppression, and decades of controversy.
GaryHeseltine discusses his extensive investigation into the case, including his interviews with numerous witnesses and his decision toexamine the evidence through the perspective of an experienced policeinvestigator. He explains why he became increasingly concerned aboutthe treatment of Larry Warren and the attacks made against him byother prominent figures associated with Rendlesham.
Amajor subject of this discussion is Larry Warren's 2017 polygraphexamination. Gary describes the circumstances surrounding the test, the examiner's conclusions, and Larry's emotional reaction when hewas told he had passed. They also discuss why Warren remains the onlyRendlesham witness they identify as having undergone a modernpolygraph examination.
Theconversation explores the changing public narrative surrounding theincident, particularly following Colonel Charles Halt's retirement in1991. Warren and Heseltine question why some witnesses becamepublicly critical of Warren after years of relative acceptance anddiscuss the possibility of competing agendas influencing how the casehas been presented.
Otherfascinating subjects include Warren's encounters with Colonel Halt, his military records, the withdrawal of his US passport, allegedattempts to control media coverage, and the role of researchers anddocumentary producers in shaping public understanding of Rendlesham.
Thisis an unusually candid discussion about one of the most important anddisputed UFO cases in history, featuring two people who have devotedconsiderable time to investigating its many unanswered questions.
