Is the Simulation Really Capable of Doing for Us?

There are certain subtle things like petricor, like the smell of the earth after rain that get complicated when you realize that for instance, artificial sweeteners nonetheless trigger in the brain. And so I don't know I guess what I'm saying is I feel ambivalent about this stuff and that there are to me what really seems to matter again about everything that you're saying is less whether we can point to a dependence on this invisible substrate upon which whatever agent it is that, you know, whatever, whatever phenomenon it is we're engaging with depends. It's more on whether or not the simulation is even capable of doing for us, all of the things that the original is capable of doing
