The Role of NK Cells in Tissue Remodeling

The first ever paper in NK cell was published in 2008. They have a very important role in mediating some of the restructuring of the trophoblasts and organization of the placenta that is dependent on NK cells. This is sort of, you know, when killers become builders is a phrase introduced by a colleague now retired called Le Butteier. It's hard to picture these cytokines from NK cells being so important for tissue remodeling.
