Functional Christology in Early Christianity

In one sense, Jesus would just be divine on this someone lesser and lower level if you're simply operating in functional categories. So I think there is a functional Christology in there in early Christianity from the earliest days of the primitive church. But the real stand out is how this language of absolute deity is being attributed to Jesus fairly early on.
