The Importance of Skill in Coaching
Coach can have a great influence right but the fact is what are you actually influencing and one of the things we often talk about is the distinguish or distinguishing performance and learning. Now the coach obviously has to be quite skillful in understanding what they're trying to see there. At what stage are they jumping in to help this I mean another coach might say well here's here's a vision but this is so loose. Is skill really emerging here at the pace can we accelerate that pace, or should I just let it happen naturally? We'd love to force our children to walk and talk faster, but really, to a certain extent we can only just nudge them on that on that path.
