So you've stressed in your work there's a certain arbitrariness to a lot of aesthetic values in birds and indeed elsewhere. But if you just look commonsensically at lot of animals, including birds, including humans, it seems that markers of health and fitness and vigour are strongly correlated with sexual attraction. That's not arbitrary. And then we have our common sense, which says, go to the gim to get a date in birds. How does that all fit together? Doesn't that mean it's not arbitrary?
