CNN's Moni Basu looks at the debate around AI and existential risk. She asks whether it detracts from work on more likely risks such as global catastrophe. But she says we can't put good probabilities in these things when looking at probabilistic forecasting. As long as I only predict stuff that will come true in 50 years time, no one can tell me I'm wrong basically.
