Leadership in science: “There is nothing wrong with being wrong”
Working Scientist
How Did You Learn Your Leadership Skills?
When I was starting out, there were very few women scientists. Most of the support that I had came from more senior women scientists who were based in the US. understanding what they had gone through and how they helped one another was a big support for me. But I felt that I had no training. So the skills that you have gained over time is more through self learning. And so helping those young people and everybody who's been through my lab and done an Enbow course is better than me. They learned about the common challenges you face early on. It's like an instant helpline when things get tough.
