The research shows that what you practice grows stronger. But not everyone can go to a monastery and practice all day long. There's a threshold effect right around 7 to 12 minutes, it varies with the different research studies. And so you can see improvements in sleep or changes in immune function after just 7 to 10 minutes of meditation over a period of four weeks.
