Is There a Canvas?
Canvas, while it is free and open, it does connote moredrw ing in art. To me the analogy was always a desk tat's a place where you put down different content and work on it. But i don't think anyone is searching in the apstor for infinite desk sto no os a desk op as a metaphor has already been used. And like yoursaing, it's not exactly the canvas us.
