The Longitude Flight Challenge: How to Replace Kerosene-Focused Aeroplanes

BBC Horizon's champion of the Longitude Flight Challenge is Dr Helen Chersky, a physicist from UCL. The aim here is to come up with a technology which can replace kerosene-fueled aeroplanes. A single long haul flight can use almost all of your carbon ration for an entire year. By 2050, 15% of all of our carbon emissions will just come from flight.
