Brothers Melvin and Marvin started doing chores like changing the flowers, setting up the chairs and taking out the trash. They jumped about opening their own funeral parlor one day but plans were interrupted by the Vietnam War. Every time Marvin passed a funeral parlor, if the doors were open, he'd walk through to give his blessing. In August of 1999, when Marvin was in his 40s and opportunity knocked, he took it.
