There's interesting research that you point to about what the toll of this striving is and how it shifts depending on who you are and where you came from. How challenging it is to overcome all of these barriers and how isolating it can be to work towards goals in a way that moves you outside of your communities. One of the key physical mechanisms of some of these effects that we talk about is through inflammation stress which eventually forces your body to work in ways that are connected to long-term disease development earlier aging, among other things. We find embedding that sense of achievement plus connection at the same time leads to significant decreases inflammation compared to if you're just focused on achievement and future and striving
