The idea that the world is made of things with locations in space and time, is just complete overturned by quanta mechanics. Wave functions are not local. The wave function is a function of every possible configuration of everything in the universe all at once. But yet, locality works pretty well in our universe. Do you think the us Constitution was a good basis for a democracy at the time of its writing? A so, it's very difficult to come up with genuinely reasonable arguments against democracy.
