The Myth of Prometheus

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: I don't believe that there was actually a guy named prometheus. But when i hear binet tell that story, i often immediately think of prometheus. And it makes it more powerful for me because i have this myth that means a lot to me as a story. Some rabbis in synagogues believe that the actual covenant literally happened either that a guy named abraham talked to a personal god and so some of them really do. If we then have a world in which most of rabbis and most of the congregates don't really believe the sort of claims of jewish literature,. but they might have other reasons for thinking it
