The Different Types of IMs

Imitation models (IMs) don't make predictions or even project trends forward. They tell us the optimal or least cost pathways towards given climate targets. IMs are generally described as models that integrate economics, energy and climate. But one thing that doesn't come across is that economics in IMs,. I would say, is the foundation where as energy and climate are more the additions to a fundamentally economic framework.
