In our culture, depression is something to be gotten rid of. The word melancholy was being used in the 14th century and about 150 years later, in Latin, the word depression emerged apparently. When we use the word depressed, it's simply a sensate word. It's an over-literalization of being pressed down against the ground. For those that fly too high, talk too fast, are full of a thousand ideas, none of them come to fruit,. A visitation by Saturn would be painful, but it would be exactly the medicine one needs to create a life so that anything can be built upon.
