Do Record Labels Recoup?

The label does not sign artists. It licenses masters, just because it's a cleaner way to deal with it. And it's a straight up 50 50 split once we recoup. But also, i don't recoup the way record labels recoup are you aware of the crazy economics of how you recoup ifyou're a band signed to a major label? You know, it's been some years. I was on warner brothers, and i was on a label called i mago, yes, many years ago. So i can't remember. Lot of bands who've been signed forever who don't know how much they're actually getting kind of screwed.
