I moved to Ottawa in 2005 to go to law school, not to become a lawyer, but to become a better entrepreneur. Tobias Luteke convinced me that law school might be like finishing school for entrepreneurship. I became one of the first merchants on Shopify and move my teacher business to Shopify in 2006. And so in 2009, I called Toby and said, I'd love to help you build this company.
