Frederick Douglass and the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Douglass showed us a miss this misnomer, this betrayal. Was this genuine sincere, thriving faith that was defying the abuse of those who were in mainstream Christianity. That their love for Jesus was doing something in them that fought for liberation. There is always going to be a Christianity of the land that is not the Christianity of Christ. The pure, peaceable, pure peaceable, sin or saving soul healing, culture transforming Jesus of the Bible was always there.
