What Is the Richtor Scale?

The richtor scale is a way of measuring the size of an earthquake. It's based on how much the ground has moved as a result of that earthquake. But nowadays, we don't really use the rick to scale due to new technology. We now use something called the moment magnitude scale - quite similar to the ricter scale.
