The Importance of Security in Private Property Ownership

Israeli state uses security as an excuse to dispossess Palestinian landholders. Security is key rationalization for private property ownership that Jeremy Bentham gives us. Suhaad Bhichara has written a brilliant PhD dissertation on the dispossession of Palestinians through land law That really reveals how that is a unified project so on the face of it we have different legal regimes but underlying that I think there's quite a unified use of land law emergency powers etc to to disposses Palestinians.
