The First Balkan War
Austria-Hungary had already decided that Scutari would be part of Albania. King Nikita ignored them, continued besieging the city. Assad Pasha Tovtani, a Turkish commander, murdered his superior officer and then accepted a substantial bribe and surrendered the town. The war officially ended with a preliminary piece signed in London.
