How Do You Foster Community During the Initial Days of a Course?
We give students a couple of things to do when they first join, but we don't give every single piece of information all at once. We have these very clearly written emales that students will get four or three, two days out. And each email contains a different piece of information. There's lots of information about logistics of how exactly things are going to work,. Details about some of the live sessions, and we drip those out in the final few days leading up to the first live sesssion. You can spend far less time than ten minutes writing your introduction.
