The Dark Side of Peter Madsen

Peter Madsen was a self-taught engineer who spent decades building submarines and rockets. In 2004, he moved to Copenhagen where he became entangled with the underground art, music, fetish, and swinger scenes. One week after the Nautilus launched, Peter set his sights on his next frontier: Space Exploration. He teamed up with former NASA contractor Christian von Bancson to build an open-sourced rocket that would send him into space as Denmark's first DIY astronaut.
