The Rise of Social Media and the Impact on Youth Mental Health
There's a youth mental health crisis in this country and it's clear that social media is one of the major contributing factors. The surgeon general has released a report on how to prevent young people from using technology too much. He says parents should make sure their children don't use phones or tablets at meal times, connect with them in person for two-way conversations and be cautious about what you share. But he also said they need regulation as well as shaming tech companies when they do things that are bad for kids' welfare.
