I Got the Chills From Something I Found

The abandoned car belonged to a young couple who went missing in the area during the 70s. The driver's door was open, turning the old thing into a handy home for raccoons or other furry critters. After kicking away the dirt and pulling a wooden handle from the soil I find an ice pack half buried in the earth. If I hadn't freaked out and gotten out of there would I have found their bodies too?
