Bishop Barron: Bishop Dave O'Connell was a friend of the Lord Jesus. He said he felt most strongly about the spiritual development of the poor because he felt many of them just didn't have a sense of themselves and who they were. As we look at these readings, especially the Transfiguration, I think of my own times up on the Holy Mountain with Bishop Dave, say a prayer for him.
